6.4.6 Maintenance windows

Maintenance windows can be defined for a group of sites (normal or virtual objects as well), equipments or thresholds.

If during the given timespan a threshold is violated then depending on the “Alarm in the window” parameter one of these can happen:

·       If the parameter is not set then alarm will not be raised until the end of the timespan

·       If the parameter is set then the alarm will be raised but it will be automatically acknowledged and the system will not send any notification. At the end of the maintenance window the alarm will be unacknowledged and the notifications will be sent

The window has three other base parameters: a name, a from and a to date&time. The user can specify the objects using a search funcionality similar to the Search menus. Once an object is specified, it can be deleted from the maintenance window one-by-one.

The system also shows for each maintenance window whether it is active, not yet active or is expired.
