14.1.26 Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) measurement servers

The Common Industrial Protocol measurement server is an active and discoverable PVSR module which can monitor devices (for example PLCs) using the CIP protocol. The measurement server takes into account the timeout value specified for the equipment. Beside the basic attributes, the equipment has the following additional parameters (the code of the parameter is given in parenthesis; see Subsection 7.5.6 on Parameters of non-SNMP data collectors):

ˇ       IP address (CIP EQ 1 IP): this address must be used to connect to the monitored device. Mandatory parameter

  • Serial numbers (Z 01 SERIAL_NUMBERS): it contains the serial numbers of the modules found in the device. Non-modifiable automatically discovered parameter

The module supports measurements regarding the Connection Manager, the Ethernet_Link and the Identity objects.
