6.9.1 Creating public / private menu items

We can create here shortcut menu items under the Alarms and Measurements main menu items. The [edit] and [del] links are used to edit and delete the menu items. To add a new menu item ([add new]), first we have to select the virtual/real site or equipment to which the menu item points. After clicking on the menu item a search window appears where a search string has to be specified (the % and _ characters can be used) and then we obtain the list of matching elements. By selecting one element we reach the next page, where we can set the menu in which the given element will be displayed and use the object’s name as the menu name or a manual name can be set as well. The menu item configuration can also be done from the Alarms and Measurements main menu item:  after selecting the object, the Save as submenu operation has to be selected from the Operations list.
