9.1 Chart types

There are two chart display types: the image based and the Javascript charts. In the image based case the application displays an ordinary image file on the GUI, which offers only a minimal interactivity, while using the JavaScript based charts the user can make use of several client-side interactive features. It depends on the browser used by the user as well on his preference settings, but the application offers the use of Javascript charts by default.

The users can change the chart types two ways:

• Preferences: Each user can set in his settings the default chart type to use
• Current page: Using the Chart option in the “Chart settings” browsing area
