6.5.5 Search for unsuccessful measurements

The Site and equipment configuration => Search for unsuccessful measurements page can be used to display the unsuccessful measurements or equipments, and then to delete or deactivate them.

The unsuccessful measurements page consits of three steps:

ˇ       Choosing the unsuccessful measurements or equipments and setting some deletion/modification options

ˇ       Confirmation page which shows the objects which will be deleted/modified

ˇ       The result of the deletion/modification

Each configuration step can be accessed via the links on the top of the page. The application enforces the dependencies between the different steps and it ensures that the user cannot switch to a step unless all of its prerequisites are meet. There are different ways to navigate between the first two steps: their names serve as links, but the Prev and Next links can also be used. However the third step cannot be accessed via this way, the Delete or the "Deactivate data collection" button has to be used intead.

The first step is the Search where we first have to decide to search for equipments or measurements. An equipment is considered unsuccessful if none of its measurements are successful. This option can be filtered even more, by searching only for those equipments which have an actual alarm. If we are searching for equipments then we can choose between deletion or deactivation, however if we are searching for measurements then we can only delete them. The Delete empty parent objects is the same as can be seen for the Bulk deletion page, except this time it also means the deletion of the empty equipments, so there is no separate Delete empty equipments option. If we search for measurements and delete them and this option is selected then the parent equipments and sites - which become empty - are also deleted.

We can search with the help of two parameters. We have to specify a collector group and a timespan. PVSR will search for those objects (equipments or measurements) which belong to the specified collector group and which were not successful for the given time period. If an equipment is deactivated then it will not appear in the result list.

The application shows the objects which will be deleted or modified. Similar to the bulk deletion page the application shows measurements only when we searched for unsuccessful measurements.

In the last step it shows the deleted/modified objects.
