6.8.7 Scheduled equipment sendWith the help of this menu all users except limited ones and the ones without the “Data export functionality” can set up scheduled equipment sending and the administrator users can edit everyone’s scheduled equipment settings. PVSR sends periodically via email the content of an equipment page (normal or virtual) from the Measurement menu, in HTML or XLS format (this equals to the “Export every chart to XLS” option from the Operation drop-down list). During the configuration process there are some variables that must be provided independently of the type of the e-mail. The parameters are the following: · Name: The name of the configuration. This does not have to be unique. This name will be put in the subject field of the e-mail with the date information. · Object type: either equipment or virtual equipment · Object: first the parent site has to be selected and then the equipment / virtual equipment · E-mail type: whether the email should contain an HTML content or an XLS attachment. · E-mail: the user can select one or more from his e-mail address list · Running and data interval specifications · Run cycle: whether the system should send daily, weekly, monthly or yearly e-mails. According to the settings the system will send the report always one day after the end of the interval (e.g. next Monday). · Report interval: the timespan for the data in the report, for example one day or one week · Report end time: the ending hours and minutes of the report, in the format of HH:MI Example: if the run cycle is daily, the interval is week and the end time is 03:30 then PVSR will generate a report every day sometimes after 03:30 which on a Wednesday will contain data starting on the previous Wednesday at 03:30 and ending on the current Wednesday at 03:30 · Equipment display template: which template to use · Parameters from the Measurements menu: these have the same meaning as the ones on the Browser area from the Measurements menu · Time zone: if the XLS format is chosen then the “Set at equipment” and “Server/equipment” options cannot be chosen here · Business hours: if the XLS format is chosen the “Set at equipment” option cannot be chosen here When the report is sent in HTML format then there are several additional parameters: · The HTML e-mail should contain the not expanded charts too: if it is set and a chart or a separator text is not expanded currently then the e-mail sent out will still contain the non-visible charts · Parameters from the Measurements menu: these have the same meaning as the ones on the Browser area from the Measurements menu · Chart size: number of chart columns · Peak: Yes, No, Default · Res.: chart resolution · Minimum and Maximum: similar to the Measurement menu they can be specified using K, M, G and T, for example 10M · Screen width in pixels: PVSR will use this value to calculate the size of the chart images. · Prefix and postfix: PVSR will add these two to the email without any modification, so for example if the value of the prefix parameter is “

Heading 1

” then the email will begin with something like this: Heading 1 |
