6.8.3 Report export and import

These two menus can be used to export a report from one PVSR installation and to import it back into another installation. Several reports can be choosen in one step for export: if only one is choosen then the export XML file is named using its name, otherwise PVSR automatically generates an XML file name. In both cases the file is downloaded onto the client machine.

The downloaded file then can be used in the Report import menu to import it into another PVSR system. If the “Processing mode” parameter is set to “Validate only” then PVSR only displays what changes it wants to do using the file, but does not actually do the changes. If the option is set to “Full process” then PVSR actually imports the file.
