6.13 WizardsThere are several configuration wizards in PVSR which makes the most common configuration more easier. It is important to note that all of these configurations can be done elsewhere on the normal configuration pages. There are common characteristics of these wizards, independent of the actual configuration done by it. Each wizard is built using a step-by-step philosophy. A step becomes valid only if all of its the necessary prerequisites are met, and the user cannot choose a step unless it is already valid. Users can navigate between the steps in different ways: ˇ By clicking on their names ˇ By clicking on the Prev or on the Next links in the upper right corner of the page If a step involves selecting just one element in a list then by clicking on the element the application moves to the next step. Otherwise filling out the necessary fields (marked with the * character) or selecting multiple elements only enables the next step and PVSR only quickly highlights the name of the next step but does not move to it. In all cases PVSR does the actual configuration only in the last step and usually that step contains optional further steps: ˇ Either invoking a new wizard with preselected values or ˇ Opening a page in PVSR in a new tab The available wizards and their steps are as follows. 6.13.3 Equipment parameter modification 6.13.4 Equipment maintenance window |
